FAQs

Short answer:

No — not in normal “hot country” heat.
But yes, it could soften slightly if stored somewhere EXTREMELY hot (car dashboard, tin roof workshop, direct sun in a sealed box).

🌡 REALISTIC TEMPERATURES TO EXPECT
• African summer air temps: 28–42 °C
• Indoors without AC: 30–45 °C
• Inside a closed car in sun: 50–65 °C (!!)
• Metal shed in sun: 55–70 °C

Remember:
MB-PLA Sealer softens at ~55–60 °C.
(This is the melting/activation zone we intentionally designed.)
So here’s the important part:

If it's left the tin in normal indoor heat (up to 45 °C)
→ It will NOT melt or reactivate.
→ It stays solid, safe, normal.

If its left in a car, metal shed, or direct equatorial sunlight
→ Temps can hit 55–70 °C,
→ This can activate the sealer and make it soft.
BUT:
Even then, it will simply go soft — it won’t become liquid unless massively overheated.

🧪 SOFTENING doesn't equal FAILURE
A soft tin in hot weather will:
• Return to hardness once cooled
• Not chemically degrade
• Not lose bonding properties
• Not spoil or go “off”

If anything, it’s like lip balm or wax polish:
Warm countries soften it a little, cold countries harden it.
The Shelf life of our products can be up to 20 years.
But don't worry even if it only lasts half that time, it can be reused as Firelighters or shaved into a home compost as it's made with 100% natural ingredients.
